Olivier Leymarie, Chief Executive Officer of Syquant Capital SAS, began his career as a management consultant at Ernst & Young. In 1990, he joined the Paris-based brokerage firm Cheuvreux de Virieu, which was later acquired by Indosuez and merged into the Credit Agricole group. By 1996, he became Head of European Equity Derivatives and was appointed Global Head of Equity Derivatives in 2000. Following the merger of Credit Agricole and Credit Lyonnais in 2004, he became Deputy Head of Equity Derivatives at CALYON, overseeing 250 people across London, Paris, New York, Tokyo, and Hong Kong. In 2005, he co-founded Syquant Capital with Henri Jeantet. Leymarie has served on the boards of Credit Agricole Indosuez Cheuvreux, Credit Agricole Indosuez Derivatives Products (CAIDP), and the supervisory board of Equity Alternative Asset Management (EQUALT), the alternative asset management subsidiary of Credit Agricole Indosuez. He holds an Engineering degree from the Ecole Centrale de Lyon (1987).
