Charles "Chip" Paquelet, the founder of Skylands Capital in 2004, was previously a principal at Strong Capital Management, Inc., which he joined in 1989. At Strong, he managed two private investment partnerships, an offshore hedge fund, four mutual funds, and numerous separate accounts. Before Strong, he worked as a financial analyst for B.F. Goodrich & Company. Chip earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Business in 1987 and completed an MBA with a specialization in finance at Indiana University in 1989. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
