Silver Lake, legally known as Silver Lake Technology Management, L.L.C., is a global private equity firm focused on technology and technology-enabled investments. The firm is headquartered in Silicon Valley and New York.

Jim Davidson, one of the founding partners of Silver Lake, co-founded the firm in 1999. He currently serves as a Managing Partner and Managing Director, Chairman of the Managing Partners Committee, and sits on the Investment Committees of several Silver Lake funds. With over 30 years of experience in technology industries, Davidson was previously a Managing Director at Hambrecht & Quist (now part of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.), where he managed the Technology Investment Banking and Mergers and Acquisitions businesses. He began his career as a corporate securities attorney for Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro. Additionally, Davidson is an active angel investor and advisor to private companies through Paxion, a multi-family office. He also serves on the boards of several non-profit organizations, including the University of California, Berkeley Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology, the Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science & Management, and the Basketball Hall of Fame. Davidson holds a B.S. from the University of Nebraska and a J.D. from the University of Michigan.

David Roux is a technology investor and philanthropist, currently serving as the managing partner of BayPine. He co-founded Silver Lake Partners in 1999. Roux holds degrees from Harvard College (B.A.), King's College, Cambridge (M.Phil), and Harvard Business School (MBA). He founded Datext and served as its CEO before its acquisition by Lotus Software. Roux has held leadership roles at Lotus and Oracle Corporation and was chairman and CEO of Oracle subsidiary Liberate Technologies. In 2020, he founded BayPine LP with Anjan Mukherjee.

Glenn Hutchins, is the chairman of North Island and co-founder of Silver Lake Partners. Hutchins earned a B.A. from Harvard College in 1977 and completed a joint J.D./MBA program from Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School in 1983. He began his career as a credit analyst at Chemical Bank and later worked in private equity at Thomas H. Lee Partners and The Blackstone Group. Hutchins served as a senior adviser focusing on economic policy during the Bill Clinton presidential transition and later as a special advisor on economic and healthcare policy in the Clinton Administration.

Silver Lake Group's latest 13F filing for Q1 2024 reported $8.24 billion in managed 13F securities, with a top 10 holdings concentration of 99.4%. The firm's largest holding is Endeavor Group Holdings, Inc., with 91,976,482 shares.
