Before co-founding Sagefield, he accumulated a decade of experience as a Portfolio Manager at Highland Capital, an alternative asset management firm with assets exceeding $10 billion. While at Highland, Jonathan led a six-person investment team and managed both the Highland Merger Arbitrage Fund and the Highland Long/Short Equity Fund, each with assets surpassing $1 billion. Before his tenure at Highland, Jonathan served as a Senior Analyst for five years at Walker Smith Capital, a long/short equity hedge fund managing over $1 billion, focusing broadly across sectors. Earlier in his career, he gained experience at Acharne Capital (a Soros Fund Management affiliate), Rhombus Capital, and Precept Capital as a Senior Analyst. Jonathan began his career in equity trading at Merrill Lynch and equity research at Lehman Brothers.
