Marc Lisker serves as the President of DFO. He joined MSD Capital in September 1999 as General Counsel and became a Partner in January 2008. From 2010 to 2022, Marc held the role of Chief Legal Officer at MSD Partners. Before joining MSD, he worked as an associate in the Corporate and Securities Group at Mayer Brown, LLP in Chicago, following a federal clerkship on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Marc, originally from the Philadelphia area, is an enthusiastic supporter of the Eagles, Flyers, Phillies, and Sixers, instilling in him values of patience and perseverance. He enjoys golfing and cycling, and during fall and winter weekends, he can often be found coaching his son’s ice hockey team or playing in a Sunday night men’s league. Marc resides in Connecticut with his wife and two children. He also holds the position of Treasurer at the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation and serves on the boards of The Greenwich Skating Club, Fenway Golf Club, and USCJ Supporting Foundation. Marc earned his J.D. cum laude from Northwestern University School of Law in 1995, where he served as Note and Comment Editor of the Law Review.
