Leonard I. Green (1934–2002) was a distinguished American businessman, renowned as the founding partner of the leveraged buyout firm Leonard Green & Partners and as chairman of the board of the Los Angeles Opera. He earned a B.A. in economics from Cornell University in 1955, followed by an M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton Graduate School in 1956. In 1965, he furthered his education with a law degree from Loyola University in Chicago.
