Jasper Ridge Partners, formerly known as Oak Hill Investment Management (OHIM), is an independent investment management firm headquartered in Menlo Park, California. Mark Wolfson is the Founder and Managing Partner of Jasper Ridge Partners. From 1995 to 2013, he held key roles within the Robert M. Bass/Oak Hill organizations, contributing significantly to the formation of Jasper Ridge Strategic Partners, Jasper Ridge Diversified, and Oak Hill Capital Partners. Mark is also an Adjunct Professor at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he has been on the faculty since 1977, teaching courses on investment management and philanthropic strategy. His teaching experience extends to Harvard Business School and the University of Chicago, and he has been a visiting scholar at the MIT Sloan School of Management and the Hoover Institution. Since 1988, Mark has been a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and advised the Investment Committee of the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation from 2004 to 2017. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research and has been on its Board since 1990. Mark is also a member of the Advisory Board for the Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program at Stanford and serves as President of Arrow Impact, a charitable foundation focused on enhancing economic prosperity in under-resourced communities and improving philanthropic efficiency. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Illinois and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.
Jamie Alexander co-founded Jasper Ridge Partners and served as Managing Partner until his retirement at the end of 2017. During his tenure, he chaired both the Portfolio Construction Committee and the Investment Committee. From 1995 to 2013, Jamie held pivotal roles within the Robert M. Bass/Oak Hill organizations, including Chief Financial Officer for Robert M. Bass, and was instrumental in establishing Jasper Ridge Strategic Partners and Jasper Ridge Diversified. Before joining Bass/Oak Hill, Jamie was a Vice President in the Fixed Income Division at Goldman Sachs. He has contributed his leadership as a Trustee for several institutions, including the Stanford Graduate School of Business Trust from 2001 to 2007, the Menlo School from 2012 to 2014, and the California Academy of Sciences from 2008 to 2017. Jamie holds dual BS degrees in Mathematics and Economics from Montana State University, where he graduated as Class Valedictorian. He earned an MS in Economics from the Australian National University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
