Ali Motamed is the Founder, Managing Partner, and Portfolio Manager at Invenomic Capital Management. Prior to establishing Invenomic, Ali served as Co-Portfolio Manager of the Boston Partners Long/Short Equity Fund, where he was recognized as Portfolio Manager of the Year in the Alternatives Category by Morningstar in 2014. Before joining Boston Partners, he gained valuable experience as a member of global mergers and acquisitions teams at Deutsche Bank and BT Wolfensohn. Ali holds a B.A. degree in Economics with a minor in Accounting from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder, bringing over twenty years of experience in the financial industry. Outside of work, Ali enjoys spending quality time with his wife and four children and engaging in outdoor activities. Originally from California, he has fully embraced Boston sports and is an avid supporter of the Celtics and Patriots.
