Prior to this, Mr. Schrier worked at Farallon Capital Management, L.L.C. from 1998 to 2008, where he was elected as a partner in 2002. Before his tenure at Farallon, he worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions Department at Goldman, Sachs & Co. from 1990 to 1992. From 1992 to 1994, Mr. Schrier was involved in the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa, ultimately managing election research for the African National Congress's political campaign during the country's first-ever democratic and non-racial elections. Mr. Schrier serves on the Board of Directors of Matriculate, a non-profit organization that provides college access to high-achieving, low-income students. Additionally, he is the Chairman of the Advisory Board for the Boston Review, a journal of social and cultural criticism. He holds an M.B.A. from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University and a J.D. from Stanford Law School. Mr. Schrier earned an A.B. from the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
