Hutchin Hill Capital was founded by Neil Chriss, a very highly-regarded mathematician. Neil Chriss is a prominent thinker in the realm of quantitative finance, and in 1997, he turned down an offer to teach at Harvard to work on Wall Street. He worked for GSAM Quantitative Strategies after Cliff Asness in the late nineties, and subsequently NYU's Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences and University of Chicago before joining SAC Capital in the mid-2000s. In 2007, Hutchin Hill Capital was established.
