Mr. Arnaud Ajdler founded Engine Capital Management in March 2013 and serves as its Managing Member. Before founding Engine Capital, he was a partner at Crescendo Partners, a value-oriented activist investment firm. Additionally, Mr. Ajdler is an adjunct professor at Columbia Business School, where he teaches a course in Value Investing. He began his career as a management consultant with Mercer Management Consulting and Boston Consulting Group. Currently, Mr. Ajdler serves on the Board of Directors of Hill International. His past board memberships include Recro Pharma, Stewart Information Services, Charming Shoppes (until its acquisition by Ascena Retail Group), Imvescor Restaurant Group, StarTek, Destination Maternity, O’Charley’s (until its acquisition by Fidelity National Financial), The Topps Company (until its acquisition by Madison Dearborn Partners), Rhapsody Acquisition Corp, and Arpeggio Acquisition Corporation. Mr. Ajdler holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Free University of Brussels, an S.M. in Aeronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
