Stuart C. Fiertz, Co-Founder, President, and Head of Responsible Investment at Cheyne Capital, boasts over 30 years of experience in investment research and management. Before establishing Cheyne in June 2000, he handled credit research and customized portfolio solutions in Morgan Stanley’s convertible bond practice, following stints in credit and equity research at Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch. Fiertz is deeply committed to responsible investing and played a central role in Cheyne's venture into social impact in 2014. He actively participates in industry dialogue, frequently speaking at events and summits. He holds the titles of CFA® charter holder and CAIA designee. Fiertz serves as chairman of the Alternative Credit Council (ACC) and as a Founder & Trustee of the Standards Board for Alternative Investments (SBAI). He was also a council director on the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) board from 2014 to 2020. Fiertz pursued his education at the International School of Geneva and Dartmouth College, earning a BA degree in Political Science and Economics.
