George Yang holds the position of Chief Investment Officer and Founding Partner at Anatole. Before establishing Anatole, he played a pivotal role as a founding member, partner, and head of Greater China at Falcon Edge Capital L.P. in New York, a prominent multi-billion dollar "Tiger Cub" hedge fund. During his tenure at Falcon Edge Capital L.P., George Yang assumed responsibility not only for the long/short public equities strategy in Asia but also played a significant role in notable private investments in Greater China, including companies like DiDi Taxi and Alibaba. Additionally, he actively participated in a series of investments in India's emerging sectors, contributing to the fund's commendable returns from its Greater China exposure between 2012 and 2015.
Gary Lee, as Chief Operating Officer and Founding Partner at Anatole, established and led the institutional equity sales and trading team at GF Securities (Hong Kong), where he also held the position of Responsible Officer. Before his role at GF Securities, Gary served as a senior HK/China and Asia equity salesperson at prominent financial institutions such as Jefferies, Samsung Securities, Shenyin Wanguo Securities, Oppenheimer Investments Asia, and CIBC World Markets. His experience extends to his time in New York, where he was a US equity research associate covering financial institutions at CIBC World Markets and worked on structured asset-backed securities collateralized by intellectual property royalties at Licent Capital.
