Wednesday morning signifies a new month, and it signifies the homestretch of quarterly earnings report season for the summer. This morning, 13 companies with market caps of $10 or more took the stage to give their earnings just prior to the markets opening. Highlighting this group were Harley-Davidson (NYSE:HOG), MasterCard (NYSE:MA), Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) and Time Warner (NYSE:TWX).
Harley-Davidson posted a strong report, with EPS of $1.07 and revenue of $1.73 billion both topping estimates, by 2 cents and $100 million, respectively. The stock is up 3 percent pre-market to $44.60.
MasterCard posted an EPS of $5.65, which beat estimates by 7 cents. However, revenue of $1.8 billion missed targets by $90 million. The stock is down nearly 4 percent pre-market to $420.
Comcast posted a solid earnings reports, with EPS of 50 cents topping estimates by 2 cents, while revenue of $15.2 billion was in-line with estimates. The stock is up 1.4 percent pre-market to $33.
Time Warner reported an EPS of 59 cents, which was in-line with estimates. However, revenue of $6.7 billion came up $300 million short. The stock is down slightly pre-market, to $39.10.
Talisman Energy (NYSE:TLM) reported its quarterly EPS of 7 cents and revenue of $1.87 billion, which both missed analysts’ estimates of 10 cents and $1.89 billion. The stock opens Wednesday at $12.37.
Enterprise Products Partners (NYSE:EPD) didn’t just miss, but missed badly, with EPS of 64 cents and revenue of $9.78 billion coming up short by 10 cents and $2 billion, respectively. The stock opens Wednesday at $53.
American Tower (NYSE:AMT) reported an EPS of 12 cents, which as considered not comparable to estimates, while revenue of $698 million was consistent with estimates. The stock is down nearly 4 percent pre-market to $69.50.
Dominion Resources (NYSE:D) reported an EPS of 9 cents, which missed estimates by 1 cent. The stock opens Wednesday at $54.31.
Automatic Data Processing (NYSE:ADP) reported quarterly EPS of 53 cents and revenue of $2.64 billion, which were both in-line with estimates. The stock opens Wednesday at $56.55.
Devon Energy (NYSE:DVN) reported EPS of 55 cents, which is considered not comparable to estimates of 85 cents. Revenue for the quarter was $2.56 billion beat estimates by $160 million. Shares were up 0.2 percent pre-market to $59.25.
Exelon (NYSE:EXC) reported EPS of 61 cents, which missed estimates by 2 cents. Revenue of $5.95 billion was in-line with estimates. The stock is up slightly pre-market to $39.14.
