He also has a storied past with the company, since the Oracle of Omaha profited massively from its shares after they fell in the 1960s after a scandal cost the firm $180 million in losses. American Express Company (NYSE:AXP)’s director Walter. Joseph Clayton purchased 1,000 shares for an average price of $149.27 in November 2022.
