Busboys are amongst some of the most unappreciated workers in the hospitality industry. While chefs and waiters get to hear a „thank you” every now and then, nobody really bothers to appreciate the hard work busboys do so as to maintain the immaculate appearance of restaurant tables. In addition, restaurants often represent a stressful work environment. This, coupled with the low wages busboys receive, makes this a highly thankless profession.
