Founded in 1984 by Kallam Anji Reddy and headquartered in Hyderabad, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories is a multinational pharmaceutical company that manufactures an extensive range of diagnostic kits, APIs, along with critical care and biotechnology products. Its flagship products include Ramipril, Canagliflozin. Atorvastatin, Naproxen, Ibuprofen Nizatidine, Sodium, Naproxen, etc. In 1992, the company made its first move to form a joint venture with the biggest Russian pharmaceutical producer Biomed.  The firm has seven active manufacturing plants across India. To combat the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories has completed Phase-3 bridging trials of Russian Covid-19 vaccine Sputnik V in about 1,500 participants.  and it is the third vaccine to be approved in India. The company is planning to vaccinate 125 million people in the next 8-12 months with 5-20 percent of the initial supplies imported from Russia. They are aiming to produce 250 million doses after the successful completion of regulatory clearances.
