Methodology
To compile the list of the top 15 skilled migration visa countries in the world, we began by identifying countries offering skilled migration visas through an assessment of individual visa records. Next, we gathered data on the inflow of skilled migrants into these countries from the Organization of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). We also accessed Manpower Group’s 2024 Global Talent Shortage ratings.
We grouped countries with active skilled visa programs and normalized the data for the inflow of skilled migrants and the talent shortage in each country. For both metrics, the country with the highest score received a rating of 1. The total ratings for both metrics were then summed to achieve a composite score. Finally, we ranked the countries in descending order based on their composite scores to determine the top 15 skilled migration visa countries in the world.
Note: We omitted Israel from our list due to ongoing geopolitical tensions and instability in the region, which could significantly impact the businesses and living conditions for expats.
