Ready for a trip down memory lane with the top 10 One Hit Wonders of the 90s? The 90s were overall a great decade for music, in particular for what we like to call “one hit wonders”, or, in other words, artists or bands that have an amazingly successful hit, after which they almost fell into oblivion. Today, we would like to reminisce a bit about the good old days through the list we have compiled for you, of the top 10 one hit wonders of the 90s, based on the statistics released by VH1. Only artists and/or bands that reached the Billboard Top 40 once only were taken into account. Other artists, often considered as being one hit wonders, such as Vanilla Ice or Gerado, were excluded from the countdown because they featured more than one song in the Billboard.

No. 10: Blind Melon – No Rain (1993)
Back in 1993, it was virtually impossible not to hear Blind Melon’s No Rain on the radio or see its video on TV.
No. 9: Wreckx-N-Effect – Rump Shaker (1992)
Despite heavy criticism for explicit content, Rump Shaker landed straight on the 2nd spot of the Billboard top 40 following its release in 1992.
No. 8: Digital Undergrounds – The Humpty Dance (1990)

No. 7: New Radicals – You Get What You Give (1998)
The band broke up shortly after their first and only album, making their front song – You Get What You Give – an undeniable one hit wonder.
No. 6: House of Pain – Jump Around (1992)
Jump Around is simply one of those songs that will probably never go away. It’s one of the classic party songs anyone can groove to – or better said – jump around.
No. 5: Semisonic – Closing Time (1998)
Closing Time fueled this band first and only platinum album – Feeling Strangely.
No. 4: Chumbawamba – Tubtumphing (1997)
While voted on many occasions as one of the most annoying songs in history, you can’t really deny that the 90s would simply not have been the same without the infamous Tubtumphing.
No. 3: Los Del Rio – Macarena (1994)
A whole two decades later, Macarena is still a popular party song choice for many.
No. 2: Right Said Fred – I’m Too Sexy (1992)
If you haven’t started humming the words to this song by now, it is obvious you were either not born or too young in 1992.
No. 1: Sir Mix-A-Lot – Baby Got Back (1992)
Arguably one of the most popular one hit wonders of the 90s, Baby Got Back has also heavily been criticized for its controversial nature.
