For years people used to relish their sugary drinks, but now the tables have turned. Fitness, wellness, healthy lifestyle – all these trends push us to buy more and more water in order to hydrate our body. Now more than ever people are conscious of their own body and health, so no wonder why there is so much research on which is the best bottled water to drink for health. Bearing in mind the current situation and our readers’ desires, we also took notice of it when constructing our list of top mineral water brands. Therefore, we paid attention to the brands which seemed to have the healthiest water possible. Of course, they all come from genuine sources. You wouldn’t say a brand is a top one just simply by the sales and the possibility it’s selling purified tap water, would you? Because that is exactly what is happening in the world nowadays, and you better be careful. In order to find some fine water brands, we visited several websites. Firstly, we turned to 10 Best Water and Reviews for their suggestions on which brand of mineral water is the best. Their lists are the most recent and up to date, with special methodology, and the waters chosen have excellent characteristics to recommend them to you. However, since usually quality is associated with the highest price, we also had to check what is the most expensive bottled water in the world. Website In a Bottle presented mineral water that costs an arm and a leg, or to be more precise, you would pay $60,000 for a 750 ml bottle. Unfortunately, as it turned out, the most expensive doesn’t guarantee the highest quality. Sometimes it is all about the luxurious and over-the-top packaging. Nevertheless, those are still fine and healthy waters, bottled at the source, so we included them in our research.

So what is the final criterion that we used for deciding on the top 10 mineral water brands? The answer can be found at Apec Water website, i.e. on a couple of their pages. Apec Water seemed to offer the most unbiased answer when talking about water quality and its pH value. There is numerous research on this topic and the opinions differ depending on what suits the manufacturer the most. Alkaline water producers strongly argue the highest pH level, the better and they don’t offer some clear limits how much is enough. Our source recommends the level between 7 and 8.5. Anything below that would classify the water as acidic and potentially harm our bodies. Most experts agreed that 8.5 is the limit when it comes to water being alkaline and providing the best for us. As a result, we listed high quality water brands according to their pH level, from the lowest acceptable to the highest, i.e. the ones that fit into 7-8.5 category. The ones with levels below 7 were excluded, as well as one whose level varied up to 7.4, but its lowest level would be 7.1. There were more stable contenders to take its place. To establish the pH level of a certain brand, we visited several sources: Fine Waters, pH Connection, as well as the websites of the waters in question.

It has earned around 130 million dollars in sales in 2017.
