Everything started when Anthony Padilla created a website named Smosh in 2002. Shortly after, Hecox joined and they’ve began making funny videos and sketches. Their first YouTube videos were lip-sync themed, but they quickly began to record various other types of comedy, becoming one of the most successful YouTube channels ever with almost 22 million subscribers and 5.1 billion video views.
