The 20 Biggest Cities in the United States

Interested in the biggest cities in the United States? New York is not only one of the most famous US cities, but it is also the most densely populated. With more than 8 million inhabitants, New York City is one vibrant community. Wondering who are New York’s competitors in terms of population?

Well, we would like to present you with a list of the 20 biggest cities in the US. Two indicators were taken into account when ranking the cities: the data available from the 2010 Census and the estimates issued by the US Census Bureau for the year 2012.

The runner-up, Los Angeles, which is another iconic US city, can’t pride itself with even half of New York’s population, as its number of residents equals a little under 4 million.

Everything’s bigger in Texas, right? Our countdown revealed that out of the 20 biggest cities in the US, 6 are located in the Lone Star State. Apart from New York City and Los Angeles, our top twenty also includes Houston, Phoenix, Indianapolis, San Francisco, and Dallas.

Wondering if your hometown made it in the top 20 biggest cities in the US? Let’s have a look at the countdown.
