Most Popular TV Shows on Netflix: Netflix Inc. is an American company that provides on-demand Internet streaming media available to viewers in North and South America and some parts of Europe. Originally a mail-order service that delivered movies directly to customer’s doors, Netflix has since morphed into the pre-eminent digital content distributor in the world, with a massive selection of television shows and movies.
In fact, Netflix has become so big that they now produce some of their own content, which naturally becomes some of the most popular TV shows on Netflix, as they can be seen nowhere else. One of the biggest current examples is Orange is the New Black, as you’ll see on our upcoming list. The highly-rated prison drama is heading into its third season in 2015, and has single-handedly driven many customers to subscribe to Netflix’s services.

(2013-Present) Orange is the New Black is an American comedy drama series by Jenji Kohan. The main character in this series is a bisexual woman living in New York who was sentenced to prison for 15 years for transportation of illegal drugs and money to her former girlfriend.
8. Mad Men
(2007- Present) Mad Men is an all-American period drama series produced by Matthew Weiner. The main character of the series is Don Draper, who’s the creative director at Sterling Cooper and a partner at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce. The show revolves around the people in his life, both in and out of the office, and personifies the cool image many people associate with ad agencies.

(2009-Present) This show is an American animated television series created by Adam Reed. Archer is all about the spy Sterling Archer, who deals with global espionage from ISIS, the International Secret Intelligence Service in New York City.
6. Freaks and Geeks
Freaks and Geeks is a teen comedy-drama TV series, created by Paul Feig, which aired on NBC from 1999–2000. After the airing of the twelfth episode out of the eighteen completed, the series was cancelled. The series has a cult following to this day however, and is notable for launching the careers of Seth Rogen and James Franco, who have gone on to form one of the most noteworthy comedy duos in Hollywood. That pair are responsible for the recent controversial film, The Interview, as well as Pineapple Express, and This is the End.

Created by Mitchell Hurwitz, Arrested Development is an American television sitcom.The concept of the show revolves around the members of the Bluth family, who lead an affluent lifestyle. The show is centered on Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman), the straight man, who strives to do the right thing and keeps his family together, despite their manipulative natures, and their materialism and selfishness.

(2010-Present) A British television crime drama that is made around the Sherlock Holmes detective stories originally created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The show is created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss.

(2006-2011) Friday Night Lights is considered one of the greatest shows in the history of television. This show goes beyond the X’s and O’s of the football gridiron, and stretches into the lives of the players away from the field.

It is directed, written, produced, and edited by stand-up comedian Louis C.K, who also stars in the show as a fictionalized version of himself, a comedian and newly divorced father raising his two daughters in New York City.

The series is an American crime drama series created and produced by Vince Gilligan. The story and performances earned the series a massive following and critical acclaim, right up until its finale in 2013. The popularity of the series resulted in a spin-off series called Better Call Saul, which premieres on AMC in early February.
