Founder and Chairman of FedEx Corporation

Fred Smith is an American business tycoon and investor, best known for founding FedEx Corporation, the world’s largest transportation company. On June 1, 2022, he transitioned from CEO to executive chairman, with Raj Subramaniam taking over as CEO. He is widely regarded as one of the most successful transportation entrepreneurs. Smith attended Yale University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in 1962. As of February 1, 2023, his net worth was estimated to be $4.5 billion. After his graduation, he served in the Marines during the Vietnam War and later launched FedEx in 1971. He is one of the most famous Yale alumni of all time.
