The Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) Bandit is a Windows Phone 8 addition which we’ve all been waiting for. OEMs manufacturing Android devices have been embracing the phablet segment for a couple of years now. And it looks like Nokia has jumped on the bandwagon as it plans to announce 2 new large smartphones in the months to come, one being the device in question and the other a 5.2-inch handset which falls in the mid-range segment. This is the first time we’ve heard of the Nokia Bandit. However, the specifications look quite familiar. That’s probably because everyone’s been speculating a 1080p screen and a quad core processor for various Nokia smartphones, only to be left in disappointment.

From opening the box to starting up, the Nokia Lumia oozes cool. Super easy to use and a camera that will make you want to ditch any other picture taking device you own, Nokia are really starting to make awesome phones. Could it be the metal used in the 925 (The Nokia Lumia 925 introduces metal for the first time to the Nokia Lumia range) or the use full built in app Oggl, which allowing people to take and share pictures with like-minded creatives and photography enthusiasts from around the world, or its wireless charging technology? To be honest it could easily be all three.
Nokia continues to dominate UAE mobile industry – TRA (TelecomPaper)
Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) led the mobile phone market in the UAE during the month of June, with a share of 56.4 percent, followed by Samsung (13.8%), BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (10.7%) and Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) (7.4%), according to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) in its Smart Phone and Mobile Operating Systems review. Out of the total number of mobile handsets registered on networks in the UAE, smartphone penetration at June stood at 44 percent. Among operating systems (OS), Accenture’s Symbian remains in the lead (38%), followed by BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) OS next (23%), Android (21%) and Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)- iOS (16%).

Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) has planned an event for Aug. 28 in Moscow (Russia), where the Finnish company is expected to launch a new device. Nokia has already launched a variety of smartphones this year in all market segments, including a number of top-end smartphones. High-end devices launched in 2013 include the Lumia 925, Lumia 928 and the Lumia 1020. Quite a few Nokia devices have been rumored in the tech space and the company hasn’t announced which handset will take the center stage at the Moscow event.
