Without a doubt, Disney has made an impact on all of our lives with their incredible movies. However, it seems very difficult to choose our favorites out of so many amazing productions. On this list we’ve attempted to do the impossible: pick the best Disney movies ever made. One thing that’s awesome about Disney is that all their movies appeal to both children and adults equally. Just get one of your favorite childhood Disney films and watch it again right now; you’ll find new symbols, jokes and meanings that as a child you naturally missed. Moreover, whether animated, live-action or hybrid, all of the films released under the Walt Disney Pictures banner have plots worth watching, wonderful scores and a wholesome message.

In compiling this list we chose not to limit our list to animated features only, but to also include live-action classics and hybrids; films with both live action and animation. Nevertheless, we decided to leave out the documentary films, including the Disneynature and the True-Life Adventures features. In addition, we also left out all of those films that were released by other subsidiaries owned by The Walt Disney Studios, like Marvel Studios. In the last couple of years this studio released various movies based on some of the characters from different Marvel Comics. Some of these popular movies include Iron Man, X-Men, The Avengers, Captain America, Thor and The Incredible Hulk among many others. However, Marvel fans have claimed eagerly after the release of such movies that there should be, in the near future preferably, films starring female Marvel characters. Coming back to our present countdown, we thought it was a good idea to go over the best Disney movies ever made, especially after Frozen’s amazing success of last year, and rumors of a possible sequel. The list also makes for great timing given the various long-awaited Disney films we are anxiously looking forward to. These include Into the Woods, a live-action film that will be released on Christmas Day and which is based on Stephen Sondheim’s Broadway musical; Inside Out, another amazing Pixar creation that will be released next February; Finding Dory, and Toy Story 4, sequels of beloved animated features that are scheduled for release in 2016 and 2017 respectively.
