No. 2: Guoliang Tunnel Road, China
Located in China’s Hunan Province, the Guoliang Tunnel is a 1.2 km road carved within the Taihang mountains. Guoliang has been claiming lives even before it was opened in 1977, as several villagers were killed in accidents when the tunnel was still in construction.
