Linking Chengdu, China to Lhasa, Tibet, the Sichuan-Tibet Highway stretches across dozens of rivers, forests, and no less than 14 high mountains. Within a couple of hours, drivers can go from warm spring temperatures directly to deep-freezing winter. Although the road provides drivers with unique and exhilarating sceneries, the numerous avalanches and landslides that occur in the region make it one of the most hazardous roads in the world.
