There are a lot of investors who don’t comprehend how Google (GOOGL) and Facebook (FB) came to dominate the advertising market, and how these two technology giants continue to grow faster than the economy. They are not only stealing market share from traditional advertising companies, but also enabling entrepreneurs to create brand new content that wasn’t available before. In this article we ask one of these entrepreneurs, Jay Awal, a few questions about how he is utilizing these platforms to make an impact.
Q: How does focusing on the Impact help create wealth?
You know, Shaquille O’Neal, the former NBA star draws inspiration from Amazon’s founder and CEO: “I heard Jeff Bezos say one time [that] he makes his investments based on if it’s going to change people’s lives,” O’Neal told the Wall Street Journal in a recent interview. “Once I started doing that strategy, I think I probably quadrupled what I’m worth.”. That’s the same thing my business partners and mentors have instilled in me, everyone is looking for a get rich quick, they don’t want to put in the work that is required to make those big CHANGES in people’s live and that’s the reason that most people’s success if any is short lived. Elon Musk said it best “you get paid in direct proportion to the difficulty of the problem that you solve”. So there we go, you want to make more money? You want to create wealth, ask yourself what problems are you solving with what you’re doing right now, and don’t say helping people put gas in their car, lets think BIG!

Q: How can you help others shift their mindset from focusing on the money to making an impact?
The first step is understanding where you are right now, that requires for you to be brutally honest with yourself. If you are broke as a joke, don’t sugarcoat it, don’t feel bad, but be real. If you have an ego and no one like to be around you, or relationships are difficult to maintain for you, be real with yourself and look your demons in the eye. There is no shift, there is no growth without awareness. That’s the first step.
The second step in shifting your mindset is having a definite purpose. Asking yourself, what you are called to do, what is your purpose? What is your passion? You can’t shift anything if you are unaware of the starting and ending point of your goals. Desire needs direction, so finding out your purpose is key. How do you do that?
One of the indicators of your purpose, are your most dominant thoughts. If you are called to be a musician and solve problems by uniting people through rhythm, your dominant thought is about music. If you are called to be an entrepreneur, your dominant thought is about innovations or creating success out of nothing. Thoughts reveal purpose. If you keep thinking about money, wealth, resources you were created to produce wealth! These dominant thoughts are usually a “dream”. I want you to ask yourself, when your “dream” comes true, is it going to change your world, or is it going to change THE WORLD. That’s how you judge the worthiness of your dream and how it will solve problems in this world. Now that you have a baseline for where you are and where you want to go, the third step is all about taking the right vehicle to achieve those goals and the right people to help you get there faster.
Q: What sort of impact have you been able to make?
I think speaking about the impact I’ve made in other people’s lives would almost be pretentious. Instead I want to talk about the impact I will devote my entire life to fulfilling, one. Step. At. A. Time. The goal is to help individuals all around the world, through our entrepreneur community MxM The Mvmnt, enabling and guiding our members to become the best version of themselves, full of confidence, clarity on who they are and how to achieve any income level they desire doing this by possessing multiple recession proof skill sets, leading themselves and their families towards generational wealth.
That’s the solution, that’s the impact but let’s understand the problem that our community and myself are solving, day in and day out. The problem is that most people nowadays have no sense of purpose, they don’t know what they are called to do, or don’t even believe that they are that special. People come to us with ambition, the drive for more yet tainted with debt, lack of self belief, no wealth generation plan, and years of programming into the mindset of lack and limitation. I believe this to be because of multiple things however social media, false idols, mediocre careers, lack of fulfillment, depression are all root causes of this. So the shift first begins in the mind, with positive self talk, and feeding sources of abundance to the mind. Another part of the problem is the lack of specialized education and the edifice put on generalized education. People spend years in school and learn nothing about money, how to multiply it, how to earn it with specialized skill sets, instead they learn general education, the capital of this country, what does H20 stand for, how to do multiplication and lets be real, that doesn’t set ANYONE up for success.
Unlike most online communities, the majority of our money isn’t made when people get started in our platform. It’s actually made when we help our members also make money, so it’s in all parties best interest to get your business into profit as fast as possible.
