Helium Reserves: 8.5 billion cubic meters

The United States holds 8.56 billion cubic meters of helium reserves, which are mainly located and being exploited because of the country’s well-developed extraction infrastructure.

Besides producing helium as a by-product of natural gas, the Cliffside Field in Texas, a site managed by the Federal Helium Reserve, is a significant contributor to the country’s helium supply. In 2022, the combined yield from natural gas extraction and the Cliffside Field resulted in annual helium production of 75 million cubic meters, the highest helium production by the country in 2022.
