5. Jim Morrison

Another enticing character of the rock world that left us much too early was Jim Morrison. Front man of The Doors and an incredibly talented lyricist, Morrison had suffered from drug addiction for a long period of time. Shortly after moving to Paris with his girlfriend Pamela Courson, his body was found in their apartment’s bathtub. Although the lack of an autopsy report stirred up many rumors regarding the cause of death, Courson claimed that Jim inhaled heroin, confusing it with cocaine, leading to an overdose.
