Boston Marathon Bombers in Watertown/MIT Shootout, ONE SUSPECT DEAD, ONE AT LARGE

It has been a little over 80 hours since the deadly Boston Marathon bombing, and we have some breaking, breaking updates for you. Late last night, it was reported that an Officer at MIT was shot, and his firearm was taken. At the time, it was unknown if this was related to Monday’s terror attack. Some of this information was compiled from news reports, while others were obtained via this thread. This is a developing story.

Thirty minutes later, after the initial incident, it was reported that the officer had died at 12:05am EDT.

At 12:30 EDT, it was reported by multiple sources that a black Mercedes sport-utility vehicle (ML-350) was stolen within the hour, and two men were involved. It was also reported they had firearms.

Via this feed, the following chain of events were then reported:

12:50 EDT: Shots fired in Cambridge, and multiple explosions in Watertown. Grenades are also reportedly in use by the suspects.

12:55 EDT: Reports that another OFFICER DOWN.

12:57 EDT: Police truck (black four-door) stolen.

12:59 EDT: Another OFFICER DOWN.

1:00 EDT: Reportedly, one suspect injured (later taken in ambulance). Also, bombs in the vicinity, so officers stand back. Suspect(s) now on foot.

1:13 EDT: FBI arrives at scene. Two bomb explosives confirmed, defusing robot called in for action.

1:35 EDT: MULTIPLE PRESSURE COOKER BOMBS IN AREA. Automatic weapon shooting(s). Phones are being requested to be shut off in the vicinity to prevent detonation.

1:44 EDT: One suspect remains, one downed officer has died.

2:17 EDT: Vacant house in area has suspect(s) in it. SWAT arrives at scene, suspect(s) use “long guns” to fire at law enforcement officials.

2:25 EDT: Two “pipe bombs” in the roadway in the process of being de-activated, and nearby area is evacuated.

2:27 EDT: Officials searching area, more shots fired.

2:43 EDT: White male, hoodie, curly hair, armed and dangerous reported.

2:49 EDT: POLICE CONFIRM THE SUSPECTS ARE THE BOSTON MARATHON BOMBERS.

3:01 EDT: FIRST SUSPECT DEAD OF INJURIES.

As of this writing the second suspect is still at large in Watertown, but it is confirmed that they are the suspects involved in the Boston Marathon bombing.
