If you are not keeping one eye on the Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) online newsroom, you don’t know what you are missing. While we cover many of the stories that the social networking giant breaks on its website, there are other tidbits here and there that you will definitely want to stay current with.
For one reason or the next, companies like Facebook don’t seem to say “thank you” nearly as much. After all, it is the users and advertisers of this service that make it what it has become. If everybody stopped paying attention to Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) it could go belly up in no time at all.
The company recently posted a big thank you to its website, showing it does care about the people who support its mission.
Here is the post in its entirety, authored by Director of Global Marketing Solutions Dan Levy:
“Over the past year I’ve had the privilege of meeting and learning from many amazing business owners who use Facebook. Some have just set up their Facebook Pages while others are experts who share their tips with others. I’ve learned from companies like Ministry of Retail in Singapore, Springwools in Ireland, and Scene75 Entertainment Center in Ohio…and many more around the world.
I know business owners like these invest their hard earned money and time into running their companies. So today, on behalf of everyone at Facebook, I want to say thank you to them and to the over one million businesses like them who are active advertisers. You have chosen Facebook as a partner to grow your business. We appreciate the chance to work with you, and we celebrate your success.
The more than one million active advertisers on Facebook are real people with stories that inspire us and each other. I’d love to hear your stories. And I know you like to learn from each other. I invite you to share your stories at facebook.com/business/success, so that you can inspire more entrepreneurs to turn their passions into reality. We all start small. And whether you’re reaching your first customer or your millionth, I’m thankful that we’re a part of your business.”
It makes good sense for Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) to stay in the good graces of its many advertisers. If the company is going to continue its growth and increase revenue in the near future, it will be through multiple advertising channels.
With more than one million active advertisers, Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) is obviously doing something right as far as this side of its business is concerned. While many continue to wonder how the company will increase revenue in the future, this should give you a basic idea of where the strategy is going to start.
It is not often that the biggest internet companies in the world say thank you. It would be nice to see this more often. Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) should receive a round of applause for this.
