9 Places to Visit in Cuba Before You Die

Its doors are more open and now it’s time to reveal some of the best places to visit in Cuba before you die. There are beaches that boast pristine azure waters with boats gliding through, to historic towns with intriguing architecture and antiquity to share with you.

But is Cuba safe? This might concern most of you. And the answer is yes, overall this country is quite safe. It’s important to always be aware of your surroundings and use common sense. Do your everyday proper precautions, but there isn’t very much to worry about, especially at our hot destinations. Tourism is safe at these places, so lay back and relax!

Endangered animals that have a sanctuary to call home, surrounded by many fantastic vistas will sweep you away. This island oasis has lush landscapes, tobacco plantations to keep the legendary cigar businesses open, and even other island getaways. With numerous UNESCO World Heritage Sites to dazzle and delight you, it’s pretty hard to find an excuse not to visit.

9. Varadero

Teeming with all-inclusive resorts, this beachside beauty is a gorgeous spot that’s also super convenient. The beaches might be dotted with resorts, but the sand and sea remain pristine. If you want to venture around the surroundings, take a strid over and hit a few golf balls at Villa Du Pont, go see some dolphins, and go cave exploring a Bellmar.

8. Trinidad

Low and behold the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Trinidad and the Valley de los Ingenios. From here there are sights of the lush jungle-clad mountains and landscapes, the excellent golden beaches, and the ultimate ocean breeze. The structure itself is hundreds of years old and it’s one of the oldest cities in the Caribbean neighborhood.

7. Castillo del Morro

6. Zapata

Let’s get wild in the Zapata Peninsula. The wetland here is home to a quite an interesting collection of wildlife. Swamps mean alligators roam wild, and you can bet the birdlife is spectacular. You might even catch a glimpse of a bee hummingbird if you look closely enough. Manatees, exotic fish, and more all inhabit this beautiful Biosphere Reserve.

5. Jardines del Rey

Cuba is an island, but what about going to one of Cuba’s other islands? The King’s Garden, an archipelago over 400 kilometers long, and is a link to the mainland to provide an extra easy island escape…to another island. A Nature Reserve and serene lagoon can be found inland, and the outskirts of these islands, inlets, and cays are fringed with palms and provide blue hued waters as your bum sits in the sand. 4. Cordillera de Guaniguanico

More incredible nature? You got it. Let’s take it a bit inland to a lush scene of jungles holding some of the islands endanger animals that are protected by national parks to keep its pristine and safe conditions. Tobacco plants thrive and litter the landscape and the rugged rocky background is a dramatic addition to these remarkable views. Here you go, Cuba’s architectural world of splendor, right here in the Old City. It’s sprinkled with colonial buildings, a few dashes of neoclassical, and quaint Baroque homes. Plaza de Cathedral is Havanas main cathedral and it’s housed in the beautiful city square. Courtyards for picnics and museums to fascinate are places to not miss.
