Jerry Richardson is a former NFL halfback turned team owner. He played for the Baltimore Colts in 1959 for one year and was part of the team that won the NFL Championship with quarterback legend Johnny Unitas. Using the championship bonus he received, Richardson opened a Hardee’s franchise in Spartanburg. Hardee’s is a long-standing fast food chain in America.
