5.Takht-e-Soleyman

Solomon’s Throne, or Takht-e-Soleiman, is one of the country’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and is a beautiful one at that. This religious site was used for sacred fires, and pilgrimages from the Sassanian kings many years ago. The impressive site consists of 38 towers around a crater, all while being surrounded by the beautiful mountains.

4. Soltaniyeh Dome

Behold, one of the largest domes in the world. That’s the first thing you will see when you look up at this museum. Dedicated to Il-khan Oljeitu in the 1300s, it’s still looking pretty good. Despite the timeworn facade of the tiles, the inside is preserved very nicely. The vibrant tiles and intriguing designs that embellish the walls are striking.
