The Benedictine Abbey in Melk is quite famous, as well as the other 12th century buildings, the fruit is delectable, and winding down at night with a local glass of wine will be the finale to your evening.

You can get a glimpse at bells as old as 400 years at the Bell Museum, or you can choose to wander around a tomb of an emperor, along with some artwork and war relics. More of an outdoorsy person?
