1. Fort Griswold Battlefield State Park- Connecticut

Benedict Arnold led a massacre here in 1781. Following this event, the wounded were brought to the Ebenezer Avery House, which has been renovated as a monument at the park. This park features free parking as well as a Revolutionary War Museum.
