Wayne Rooney’s wedding to a long-time girlfriend was nothing short of a fantasy. The revelries that lasted for days took place on a yacht in Genoa where wedding guests were flown in for a masked ball. The celebrations continued at a five-star hotel while the actual nuptials took place at a 17th Century Villa. The whole affair came to a whopping $ 8 million.

Her wedding to Kanye West in May 2014 took place in Palace of Versailles, France, and the bride walked down the aisle in her stunning custom Givenchy gown. The celebrations lasted for a whole weekend, and included a lavish pre-wedding dinner, a guided tour of the grounds of Versailles and a reception at the Chateau de Wideville. The bill came out to be around $20 million.

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s fairytale wedding hadn’t been the most awaited event of that year for no reason. The whole affair cost around $34 million, a major part of it being paid for the security. 1900 people turned out on the celebration, while 600 guests were invited to the luncheon hosted by the Queen.

Steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal’s daughter’s wedding to the owner of Sword Investments had been an extremely grand affair. After all the invitations itself were send out in silver boxes, complete with plane tickets to Paris, the celebrations went on for a total of five days including a performance by Kylie Minogue. The total rounded up to $60 million.
