7. What Does Heavy Water Consist of?
Deuterium oxide or heavy water consist of heavy hydrogen or deuterium. Heavy hydrogen is different from the one that is found in the water we drink every day because each atom of heavy hydrogen or deuterium contains a proton and a neutron.
