Narrowly losing the race for the first position on our list, the United Kingdom brought us some magnificent experts from medicine. The most people will be familiar with Sir Conan Doyle or Sir Alexander Fleming who is credited with discovering penicillin. We shouldn’t forget Edward Jenner, who discovered Smallpox vaccine or James Parkinson, who described the Parkinson’s disease. Besides them, there are numerous other great doctors from the United Kingdom who made the world a healthier place.
