7. Greece
This list surely wouldn’t be completed without Greece because Ancient Greece has put the foundations of the modern civilizations and it is the birthplace of one of the greatest figures in the history of medicine. Of course, we are talking about Hippocrates who is considered to be a “Father of Western Medicine”. One of his greatest achievements is establishing medicine as a professional discipline.
