3. Austria
Just like in Italy, there is one gun manufacturer that rules in Austria. Of course, we are talking about Glock. The interesting fact about Glock is that it didn’t receive the warmest welcome upon its arrival. Glock was referred to as “plastic gun”, but proved to be very reliable and efficient. Now 65% of the market share of handguns for the United States law enforcement agencies belongs to Glock. Another famous representative of Austria’s gun manufacturers is Steyr Mannlicher GmbH & Co with its assault rifle Steyr AUG, that has been used by dozen armed forces in the world.
