3. Saint Lucia
Citizenship Cost: $200,000
Saint Lucia ranks 3rd in our list of cheapest countries that sell citizenship. It holds the similar look and feels like all other Caribbean islands that are featured on our list. Seeing that its fellow island countries generate substantial revenue due to citizenship by investment programs, Saint Lucia launched the similar program in 2015. The difference between these and Saint Lucia’s programs is that it requires a minimum of $3 million net worth for the applicants. The single applicant is required to make a non-refundable contribution of $200,000 to the National Economic Fund or purchase a property worth $300,000 and hold the ownership for 5 years. To be eligible, the applicant can also invest $3.5 million in a government approved project while creating 3 or more jobs. A single applicant may donate $235,000 for their spouse to get citizenship or $250,000 for their spouse and two children. The benefits include traveling visa free to 120+ countries including members of EU Schengen space.
