In order to find the best smartphones with longest battery life, we turned to sites that review the smartphones: cnet, Recombu, Expert Reviews, Consumer Reports, Tom’s Guide and Android Authority. The main problem was that all of these sites had different tests. Some tested the heavy use of the phone while others played videos on repeat on Airplane Mode so the results were inconsistent. That’s why we decided to look for smartphones that were featured on most of these lists as top picks and rank them according to the number of recommendations. Let’s check them out.
7. OnePlus 3T

Although its battery 3,400 mAh may not seem as much, it gives One Plus 3T much-needed durability. In cnet’s test with video playing on repeat and Airplane Mode on, the battery lasted over 16 hours. It has other advantages like being cheap, having 6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage. You’ll have to settle for Quad-core processor, however.
6. Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom

In Tom’s Guide’s web surfing test Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom lasted 16 hours and 46minutes, while cnet’s showed it could go on impressive 19 hours and 50 minutes. The smartphone has 5,000mAh but also other nice specifications including Octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, up to 128GB of storage and dual 12MP rear camera.
5. Lenovo P2

In Expert Reviews’ test of continuous video playback, Lenovo P2 and its 5,100mAh battery lasted more than 28 hours. If you are not attracted by this, maybe you will be attracted by Octa – core processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
4. Huawei Mate 9

Packing 4,000mAh battery, Huawei Mate 9 lasted 18 hours and 35 minutes in cnet’s test while Android Authority says this entry on our list of best smartphones with longest battery life can endure more than 6 hours of heavy use. You will also get 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage alongside Octa – core processor and dual 20 MP +12 MP camera.
3. Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

Consumer Reports test showed that Galaxy S7 Edge, the number three on the list of best smartphones with longest battery life will give you around 24 hours of talking time, while it lasted around 18 hours on Expert Reviews test. Android Authority says they got close to 7 hours with hardcore testing. The smartphone has 3,600 mAh battery and Octa – core processor alongside 4GB of RAM and 32/64/128GB of storage. Also, its 12MP rear camera is one of the best you will find.
2. Google Pixel XL

Google made quite of a noise with its HTC produced Pixel smartphones, and for good reasons. Pixel XL with Quad –core processor, 4GB of RAM and 32/128 GB of storage may not seem as powerful as its competitors, but smartphone’s 3,450 mAh battery surely is. Android Authority tested it on high demanding smartphone games where it lasted close to 5 hours. Expert Reviews got 16 hours on their test while Consumer Reports say it will give you 23 hours and 30 minutes of talking time.

With the last entry on our list of best smartphones with longest battery life you can’t make a mistake. No matter the test and results, almost everyone says that Moto Z Play’s 3,510 mAh does an amazing job. cnet’s test got 23 hours and 3 minutes out of it, while Expert Reviews got 40 minutes more. On Tom’s Guide test it lasted 13 hours and 46 minutes, while Android Authority says it went for 16 hours and 13 minutes on their Wi-Fi browsing test. Specifications like 3GB of RAM and 32GB are not groundbreaking, but the battery life surely is.
