4. The fourth plane
Two planes hit the World Trade Center, another hit one wing of the Pentagon and another was said to have been on its way towards the White House, but it crashed in Pennsylvania. Conspiracy theory fans believe that this plane went down due to impact with a missile. They accuse President George W. Bush of ordering the plane shot down.
Black box evidence indicates a different situation, however. The passengers decided to take charge of the situation and to mess up the terrorists’ plans. They charged the hijackers, fighting them until, eventually, the plane crashed in Pennsylvania, far from the White House, one of the most important symbols of the United States.
