6. Light Roasts
Light roast coffee beans are roasted for a very short time to preserve the original taste and aroma of coffee. They are brown in color, which might make us think that it is milder in taste, but it is the opposite of that. Light roasts have a higher level of acidity and are not very sweet, but coffee beans retain more caffeine during the quick process of, and almost all of the original flavors are kept. Light roasts are also called Cinnamon, Half City, Light, and New England. Among the popular brands of light roasted coffees are Kenya and Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee.
