The number 2 in our list of most successful startups of 2016 is the Slack that is like an AOL chatroom but for the workplace. It functions as a virtual workroom used by business teams to communicate. You can use it to chat with your coworker across the room and send funny GIFs or to communicate vital information to the rest of your team. It’s made telecommuting really easy for those who work from home or do freelance projects. More companies have switched to Slack from older platforms because of its ease and all the cool apps you can use with it. Slack has an equity of about $340 million right now.
