Units Sold in 2022: 224 million.

Even though Samsung led the smartphone market for the entire year of 2022, Apple managed to outsell Samsung in the final quarter, becoming the top-selling brand with a remarkable 70 million units sold. Its market share in Q4 was 23% followed by Samsung’s share of 19%. The sales are mostly driven by its launch of the iPhone 14 series.

Headquartered in the USA, the brand was founded in 1976 by Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne. Apple’s first iPhone model was iPhone A1203 and today its hot-selling models are iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 14 Pro Max, and iPhone 14. 

The annual market share of Apple reached 27.11% in 2022, with around 224 million iPhones sold in the year. And it seems like the brand is going to stay the favorite choice of people who want to invest in a luxury lifestyle.
