Fort Bragg has been one of the most important military bases in American history and had an instrumental role in preparing U.S. soldiers for combat before their assignments in World War II, the Cold War, and conflicts in the Middle East. This base also led American projects related to unconventional warfare through the development of the Psychological Warfare Center.

Fort Bragg serves as the headquarters of the United States Army Special Operations Command, Army’s XVIII Airborne Corps, U.S. Army Forces Command, and the U.S. Army Reserve Command. In addition to this, there are also two airfields in Fort Bragg.
